Damn Ebay!

Hi,

I recently bought something on ebay and I recieved it not working. So Ive emailed the bloke for days but no reply! so should I give him bad feedback because Ive got a faulty item and he wont reply to my emails.
But the only problem I see is if I give him bad feedback that I can see myself getting bad feedback!

what should I do? he's not replying to his emails.

get his contact details from ebay, there will be a link somewhere on the auction page. then give him a call. he may not be checking his mails for some reason or another.

You can raise a compaint with Ebay and they can contact the seller for you. If you tell Ebay you have recieved the item and it is not as advertised. (I.E. Not working when this was advertised as working)

Check his ebay activity to see if he's been active recently (bidding/buying/selling) - if not then he might be on holiday or something. I would definitely not leave a negative yet as it will remove all possibility of a satisfactory conclusion and you will probably get one in return.

Also did the auction have the £500 PayPal buyer protection? If so you should be able to get recompense from PayPal if all else fails.

How did you pay for the item. Was it Paypal?

Paypal is always safest for this kind of thing.

Sorry forgot about this thread so a late reply.
yesturday the seller emailed me saying he was sorry etc and he will give me a refund, this morning I got a full refund. Now Is it a good idea to leave feedback for the guy? I am planning to although the item didn't work he did refund me and was a nice person to speak too.

ideas?
