Usually it's a clear case of stupid renewal price, I ring round and get it cheaper.

However this time the renewal is cheaper, by quite a bit, than anything I've had online, eek.

Gonna try my "ring up as a new customer" thing I do each year to see if they go any lower, but otherwise not sure if I should ring someone like Priv and see what they offer with their "we'll beat anything" policy.

The other thing is mine includes this amazing breakdown cover package that most places charge over £100 for alone :/

Hmm Priv will beat your existing quote by 1 pound, not worth the ball ache of moving for a quid lol.

think barclays will beat your existing quote by £50 if thats any use for you :)

ooh yeah will give them a go. Struggling to find anyone that'll beat it :/ Guess I can just haggle on getting the excess down a bit :)

hmm Barclays want 635, my renewal is 430. Barclays will only knock off up to £200 from their quote, plus give you £50. But I then get breakdown cover for £40 extra on my renewal, their equiv breakdown cover is £100 :(

hrm, thats not much use :( oh well. Have you tried greenlight, flux and liv vic? they tend to come out pretty well for me, however they also have varying reputations when it comes to paying out.... having said that you can find horror stories about most companys

I personally don't see the problem then. Breakdown cover is essential, and if its a good one then your current company are saving u a lot. And if its turning out to be a bit cheaper than others, then all good (even if its a little more, then its still godd with the breakdown cover!)

Oh it's not really a problem, just odd :)

Liv vic were a whopping grand, Flux are my current insurer and I've never had a problem in 6 years and two accidents :)

good to hear as i'm using them too :D

I know people **** them off but I've not had a problem.

When the woman rear ended me last year they were fine, and when the guy drove into me and said it was my fault they were right on the ball. They got the legal cover into action and the solicitor was firing letters off in no time :) All because I said I didn't want to have Flux pay for my repairs and then claim it back off the guy, I wanted to wait until I had the cash in my hands, just in case.

Congrats mate, sounds a decent quote that.

I renewed mine the other week with Admiral, unexpectedly they've bolted on drive any private car as i've now nudged 25. If you haven't got it already, fingers crossed Flux slap it on yours!
