I went to buy some beer from the local Tesco Express.

I went to the beer section, which one may assume contains beer.

I saw some Becks which I felt like having tonight and duly picked up 6 bottles.

I return home to have my housemate point and laugh because the box says Alcohol Free in red on the front.

I'm not very happy to be honest :(

I blame my colour blindness for not spotting it...

Gutted.

Moved house yesterday. Went to fridge to get out bottle of booze. Left it in previous fridge...

Send them back.

I know, I know. I am so sorry. For the record, let it be known that I feel dirty for lowering myself to this level, GD or not... :(

happened to me as well! in tenerife though.

Liked Dorada, but saw there was two different styles at a bar we tried... so went the supermarket the next day and decided to have the other type... after having a few back at the hotel we realised they were alchohol free!

was gutted lol :p

hahaha! i've done this before, but i've never got to the checkout and actually paid for it before i realised my mistake.

and why are you buying beer from teggys anyway, it's cheaper across the road at that londis place.

...not usually it isn't :/

Example: Corona, Londis = 6 for £6, Tesco = 4 for £3.90ish etc.

Yeah well I guess it depends what you're drinking. Tesco express is £4.50-ish for 4x kronembourg/stella etc and londis is £6 for 8 (or £2.75 for four fosters etc).

i know there's plenty of lager snobs around here but you cant argue with £4.50 for 8 cans of fosters/carling etc. :p

:D

 a hidden message!

We normally point this out to the customer at the till, just to make sure.

It's like if they pick up two of the same newspaper or magazine, I always check to make sure they meant to do it.

Pretty poor customer service from the cashier tbh. :o
