I used to fold on my AMD X2 4200+ @2.5Ghz and and i decided to get back to it now that i have a Q6600.
Then i saw that they released a GPU renderer for the 38** series of ATI cards. I have 3850 512MB oced at 3870 speeds and the folding speed is simply amazing.
I can't wait until Photoshop CS4 is out that will support GPCPU. Guess i will have to convince my mate to part his 2900 that can be modded and get me some sick Photoshop performance, or is there a way to mod the 38** line of cards as well with a bios flash?
 
Indeed, I can't wait for CS4 either because of the GPGPU support which has already been demoed on nVidia cards IIRC, can't wait to see what gains my GTS 320 will bring. :p
