Damn those mini motorbikes

I accelerate hard at them, with my full beems on - nothing like a rabbit in the headlights :D Although they usually disappear down some alley - no respect for law these people, or consideration to other people.

I absolutely despise them, their 'owners' and the noisy little 2 strokes. Little ********

What kind of a post is that?
You find it acceptable for people under 16 to be riding these things on public grounds?
He probably owns one, and finds my thread offensive. ;)

Quick, call the police. Someone is having some fun!

Yep.....with complete disregard for the law, and the comfort and safety of everyone else around them.

But hey, as long as they're getting their kicks then all is peachy.

I dont see the problem.

Where I live is very much green belt and every Saturday & Sunday you get a cavalcade of motorbikes zooming up and down the path to the side of my house.

Sure they make a noise, but not enough to burst my ears drums or anything and the way I look at it if they are out there having fun on their bikes then they aint mugging no one and robbing from my house.

If you stop them having fun and doing the stuff they like, they will find other ways to entertain themselves.

True but masterbation doesn't kill grannies on the streets, just the odd kitten.

jeez, let them play with their mini bikes, better than being in a gang and drug dealing. Bet you'll complain about that too?
Or stating inside playing consoles, getting all fat...complain about that.
Or playing football, making a racket.

round here when the police are called thats all that happens.

they get a call an they forget.
its people havin fun ive got a goped myself an a off roading gocart that i share with my bro there just fun ok there a bit loud but its normally people use them in the day or away from houses so its not that much of a big deal

There's plenty of ways of having fun without breaking the law.

Put it this way, how would you feel if a gang of this horrible little things came steaming at you on the pavement?

They have no regard for law, pedestrians, or car drivers (when they illegally go on the road, same matter for the pavement)

It may be different where you live, but in London this is how they exist. If they had some field or track to use, then I have no issues.

Yes but people will compain about anything, just because they're miserable old farts with nothing better to do (my experience with RC models)

As long as they don't go driving around 1am, and driving over lawns, cutting across roads what's the problem? Do you expect children to disappear after 4pm?

Are you jealous you don't own a mini motorbike? :D

Mines a noisy little 4 stroke :p

Ah....yet another problem that could so easily be solved by generous use of Napalm.

Edit: I saw someone on one of these hairdryers with wheels the other day. He was fooling about and smacked his face straight into a car wing mirror, looked quite painful, broke the wing mirror. I was in fits of giggles too, hate the damn things. :p

I figure you're probably joking, but I think this sort of attitude is part of the problem.

indeed!
There's a kid on one of those motorised scooters that punts about my wee cul-de-sac, little bugger has scratched at least 3 cars as he goes past them by falling or leaning too far and the hangle catching a wing mirror etc. None of them were my cars but he shouldn't be on the damn thing to start with

fortunately last time he caught a wing mirror the cars alarm went off and the fright he got sent him into a fence, could hear him screaming all the way home to mummy.

I laughed, sorry but I did, heartily! :D

Don't worry, I just lol'ed as well!

I think there cool. But if people are carefull and have a place to ride them like a field i have no problem

I cannot believe a few of the replies in this thread.
It is illegal for people under 16 to be riding these in a public place.
Yet we've got a load of posts telling us we should stop moaning and allow these kids to carry on regardless.
Regardless of the safety of innocents etc.

So it's OK for them to ride down the pavement where pedestrians are?
So it's OK for them to ride them in a public park where there are animals and kids?

We're just being moaning, grumpy old people because we give a damn?
Next you'll be telling me it's fully acceptable for these same kids to be driving around in cars - illegal or not, so long as they aren't causing any real problems eh?

Thankfully around where we are there has been a recent crack-down on these bikes.
There was a notice put in evening paper from the police reminding people about the law on these things.
Next thing I know on two seperate weekends police arrived to two addresses down the road from us and left some time later taking the bikes with them.
Since then we've only seen one person around the area on one.
