When the year is up however you should look at getting an extended warrenty, something I might have to do aswel but mines only a month old yet![]()

I think I'm a bit of an expert now on the MS support, I just sent of (as of today) my 3rd xbox, and am awaiting delivery of my fourth. Even though I got mine at launch and the years warrenty being expired, they were happy to do so. Though i do think the warrent comes from the first console purchase date, and not the console created date on the back of the xbox.
Technically by buying a 360, you're COSTING them money. Each machine is built at costlordrobs said:Whilst they've still got reliability problems they would be mad to say "sorry 13 months old... tough boobies" Personally they wouldn't be seeing any of my cash again and I'd be twiddling my thumbs waiting for a PS3.
True but they would be getting no slice of the 70 odd + games I'm likely to buy over the time I'd own the consoleBlairH said:Technically by buying a 360, you're COSTING them money. Each machine is built at cost![]()
As far as reliability goes, the PS3 will be no different (indeed the same can be said for all bleeding-edge consoles)

your right in a way you arent costing them money, but they are making a loss on each xbox 360 they produce and then sell to retailers or consumers. so in a way the consumer is costing them money.D.Roberts said:how on earth would i cost them money byeing an xbox 360 mr bill wont be doing it for charity???????![]()
well sort of afaik, but the accessories and the games make up a profit of sorts, the whole reason MS sold the console this cheap is to get the fanbase built up, as by the time PS3 came out most people wouldnt really bother with a PS3 or so they'd hope.D.Roberts said:im sorry you have all lost me totaly?????
why would M.S sell somthing at a loss? its human nature to make money and bad business to do so any way.
so they have made no money with all the xboxes they have sold so far then? there in dept?.
