Hi guys I fillered a large patch about 1 inch by 1 inch and 10mm deep on Sunday. The poly filler still feels a tad damp and slightly squishy. I had to chop it out initially as mature had worked it's way in from the wall behind where the bay window joins buts I thought I had fillered it OK on the outside. Am I doing something wrong?

I'd take it out and start again. It might sink in the future.

Get some easifill from B&Q. That stuff is fantastic.

Pollyfilla isn't good compared to other products, particularly the pre-mixed stuff.

Gyproc Easi-Fill is what I use (comes in smaller bags). I've used it to fill chased walls as well as skimming walls when layer of paint peeled off when I was prepping a room recently. Absolutely brilliant stuff, although don't mix up too much at once as it dries quickly.

Also worth giving it a mist coat before you paint over it.

I found recently the screwfix readymix is very good
Drys very quickly so isnt great for thin coats, but dries nice and hard.
Its very cheap as well

Never been a fan of readymix before and will still resort to making a "wet" powder based mix for final fill, but for ease and price that screwfix stuff is top dog
