Hi guys

The money/time has come to upgrade to water :D But who to go with? I am looking to cool CPU and GPU.

The two i have broken down to are a danger den custom kit (TDX block, D5 pump, maze 5 gpu block, black ice stealth rad) or the swiftech apex ultra+ kit.

I want a 120.2 rad, and im hoping to mount it into the floor of my thermaltake armor case. Does anyone have any experiance with any of these kits?

Thanks

Why not go custom? after all youve still gotta asemble everything but means you have to have what your given. Though out of the 2 id probly go with the swiftech kit

Hello,

I have had a look around but still want to stick with one of the two.

The only thing that is keeping swiftech in the vote here is the radbox, i would rather mount the rad to the back of the case but i dont mind doing a bit of modding either.

Im sure its still possible to mount a rad on the back without a "radbox" right? Just screw the fan into the rad, then mount the fan through the normal case fan holes outside?

yeah im currently using a swiftech radbox on the back of my pc7 :)
Ive got akaser amber in normal position in back of case, the big long screws that come with be box holding the box inplace, then rad attached to box and fans on the opposite side of rad :)

Hi there, what are you swaying towards atm?

I'd recommend the Swiftech over the Dangerden as it's a lot more up-to-date designs. While I doubt you'd notice a huge difference in temperatures, I believe the Swiftech stuff is a better long-term bet.

Best kit I think is:

Swiftech Storm CPU block
Danger Den Maze 4 GPU block
Thermochill PA120.2/3 Radiator
D5 Pump
(whatever res/fill line)

If you can get Storm great - but other similar performers are
AquaXtreme SP/PRO LE MP-05 or Aquacool NexXxus which offer similar performance at lower cost.
Other choices for GPU Block would be AquaXtreme MP-1 or Swiftech MCW60
Thermochill PA Series IS the best around at the moment
The D5-Vario or DDC ULtra+ will be fine
