Daniel Day-Lewis

I have watched a couple of Daniel Day-Lewis films recently due to them coming up on my rental list recently i.e. There will be blood, and Gangs of New York. I very much enjoyed his performances in both these films so though I'd have a look what other films he has been in on imdb. Unfortunately his CV is not as long as I would have expected for such a talented actor so I was wondering if there is any reason he has been in so few films when i would assume he would be very much in demand? What other Day-Lewis films are worth a watch other than the two I have mentioned?

he doesnt choose many roles because he is known to fully engulf himself in the person he is portraying....that takes a lot of skill and time. his life basically becomes that character for the duration of filming thats why he is one of the best.

I'm no film buff but I've never been so impressed with an actor's performance. Really emotional film.

His performance in My Left Foot was brilliant. Its been such a long time since i have seen it and this thread has made me go and hunt it down. I don't even remember it being on T.V. for a long time.
