Hi,

Was wondering if anyone build a custom water cooling loop with the fans at the top, just below the cover blowing up and radiator below the fans. The metal part of the case being in between the fans and the radiator.

There isn't much of a gap for the air at the top, was just wondering if anyone had issues with this, or will the setup I propose not cause any airflow issues?

Space wise you might just about get away with it if you go with slimline fans but even then I think it will cause some additional challenges with airflow as the ventilation is already somewhat limited to the point that it's not uncommon to cut additional vents into this section.

And if I went below the metal part for both radiator and fans, are those air gaps at the top of the case enough or would you recommend adding some more? Thinking 360 radiator 3 120 fans

I'm running a 420 in the roof and another 420 in the front which collectively cool a moderately OC'd 8700K and a pair of 1080ti's - I've found that manageable w/o any mods to improve airflow (albeit that I usually have the case door open for extended sessions). Others who have opened up the airflow tell me that they've seen 2-3C improvements as a result.
How many fans are you running on the top radiator? Are they below or above it? And which direction are they blowing?

3 x 140 fans below the rad pushing through the rad out the top -> build log <-

Thank you very much, looks awesome!

Got a semi-pre-built case with the radiator installed from overclockers, for my very first build, years ago. After a few years, the liquid suddenly burst through the GPU water block. Turns out the temperature hit 84 very quickly all of a sudden. The setup they did was 3 * 120 fans on top, pushing down through a 360 radiator. Over the years a huge layer/sheet of dust built between the fans and the radiator that I didn't see as there was no easy way to do so. Lesson learned :D

If you have the space - what about the newly release Silent Base 802 - I was looking at it but it's too wide for the shelf I put my computer on.

The reason I'm looking is that I want to invert the layout and Be Quiet seem the only option - so I suspect it will be a 902 rev 2 that I need and a Dremel.
Hmm didn't know it existed, but need the 5.25 drive bay
