Hi everyone,
My first job was working for my uncle installing satellite dishes in Zimbabwe. He was a very tidy worker and took great pains to ensure the customers never saw any of the wiring in the system. In those days it was 6-meter diameter C-band dishes that could move from satellite to satellite and as I recall had 11 separate cables running to the dishes from the controllers in your front room. His attention to neatness rubbed off on me (a little anyway).
I remember the day I popped the side of my first computer and saw something like this...** Fully Star out all Swearing **
The nest stage of this trip was stumbling upon a case mod thread in 2004 where I saw what was possibly the most ridiculous thing, yet it put in my head what could be. Pure art!
My current PC I bought in 2008 from PC world for £700. I've been blowing my cash spare on mountain bikes and as a result of that obsession the extent of my computer modding has been limited to putting free bike stickers on the side of my case.
Time for something better! Having not paid attention to computers for 8 years I had no idea what to do. I started out with a budget of 2 grand which i stuck into a 5% interest account and started learning. I was planning to get bits in the new year, but BREXIT has forced me to buy. 2500 later and I have still to get the monitor.
I have no friends who have done anything like this, and I am a newbie myself. The internet is going to be my only way of getting questions answered. It's lame, but a well asked and answered question is worth days of following wrong info.
So tonight I decided I had to see the pump running. The res/pump combo I have acquired is the EK Water Blocks EK-XRES 140 Revo D5 PWM. I connected the outlet to the inlet, filled it up, plugged the molex connector into the power supply and switched it on. Nothing happened
I had read that if the mobo connector was not in, the pump should run at a reduced rate. Now I don't know.
What am I doing wrong?
