Dark Messiah: Might and Magic is now available for preload and prepurchase. Dark Messiah is a big game (approx. 10 GB), so starting the preload now will make it faster to begin playing when it is released.

a game thats approx 10gig in size for dwnload through steam, even with a nice fat 10,mb pipe its gonna take a while to receive ...

think ill buy the multi DVD version when it hits the shops .. 10 GIG !!!

Dont they mean start downloading now and you can play next year once it's finished downloading?

I have just started up steam and I got a pop up saying the preload was complete, I didnt even ask for it. And the only files I have in my steam folder are presummably from the single player demo ( total of about 3gig, thats about right if i remember correctly).

The dvd sounds like a better option for this, I already have 18 gig to download again should I need a re-install.

Snoops, how do you know the multiplay sucks? Is there a demo for multiplayer?

The multiplay beta has been available for a while on gamespot, well gamespot give u a key and u download it off steam, i put some pics of it in the screen shot thread

Feel sorry for people on like 512 trying to download this =P Itll be like 56k days, forever to download.

512kbit can shift 5gig a day so at 2 days to download (assuming 10gig) it's not too bad - most people seem to have at least 1mbit these days anyway.

I think it's actually more a concern now in terms of the bandwidth used, rather than time taken. Quite a few people have FUP only allowing say 20/50gig per months or whatever

how come in steams store the specs say 7Gb of hard drive space required.
From the way Steam works, I guess if you already own and have either Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, or similar installed, you'll have the 2-3GB of Source Engine files already, so you'll have less to download. Still, it's a lot of content there, and I don't think I've ever seen my Steam downloads anywhere close to my full download speed, so hopefully they'll have some option of downloading the cache files from elsewhere.

Really looking forward to this, i really enjoyed the single player demo. I will be buying the dvd as opposed to downloading though as i have a capped monthly download limit.

That made me lol :D

Might have to give this demo a try though it looks a bit oblivion-ish.

Took me 9 hours to d/l the COH Demo, that's with a 2mb connection. Think I'll buy the disc.
