Wondering if anyone else has pre-ordered/looking forward to this?

I thought that the demo was superb, not played any multiplayer yet though, will have to wait until Friday.

Having seen the review in the new PCZone i'm a little bit worried it's not going to be as good as i hoped. It only scored 84%. QUOTE]

It got 88% in PC Gamer though, so average is going up! Still from the demo and all of the previews I thought it would be scoring higher.

Some more reviews in-

Game Informer - 9.25/10
PC Format - 88%

Bringing the average score to 88.1% - getting better, still will judge for myself!

You cannot just jump in and keep whacking Mouse1 because they'll just block everything.

That was the issue I had with combat in Oblivion, looking forward to a proper sword fight. Or maybe I will go a bit more stealthily.

Hmm, didn't get a great review on Gamespot (6.7/10).

I read that one too, but how can he give the graphics 7 out of ten? Everyone who has played the demo knows they are better than that. Reviewer stikes me as someone who just didn't like the game.

Not seen any other reviews below 80% and some in the 90s.

Can't believe soe of you have finished the game twice already, but then I have a wife and 2 kids so my gaming time is severely limited!

I am on Chapter 4 and just enjoy standing at the top of a staircase and getting my kicks by kicking guards in the head as they run up the stairs! Class!

If I had a compaint it would be load times, not the longer load of the game, I can handle that, but the quick save/load is not so quick.

Hom much Ram does everyone have? I've got 1 gig, do you reckon i need 2 to run this game smoothly.

I have 2 gig, no stuttering at all here.

4800X2, X1900XT and the 2 gig working in harmony - all settings on full at 1280x1024.

Aside from the load times I have had no issues at all.

I'm really enjoying this although I've not had time to get very far. My only niggle is that no matter how quietly I try to walk or how careful I am keeping to the dark, I always get seen. Makes stealth like in the Thief series very difficult!

I agree, I gave up increasing my stealth skills when they just didn't seem to do anything.

My other gripe would be the range of weapons, I play and feel that I am a healthy distance away from an orc and yet he manages to do me some damage. However it works both ways and means that you don't have to get as close when you want to kick them off the edge os a cliff!

Nooo, I ended up with so much strength & a powerful sword that even the orcs only needed 1 swipe. I just marched through near then end smacking everything out my way :D

You're right, by the end I felt too strong, there was no challenge at all. Still a fun game and I enjoyed it. Not replayed it though, not sure I can be bothered - I never replay games though, so that is nothing special for this game.
