Anyone had any joy with this combo? I think the dsfix mod may be screwing it up or something but that mod is pretty much required imo, anyone had any luck or got a fix?

Ta

not sure what you are asking? i have dark souls and ran ds fix with a bunch of mods through steam and it worked fine on windows 8.1

We are talking about it working over the Steam Link Streaming hardware? Works on my pc perfectly, but wont run properly over the Link

Hope this clears that up, ta!

Well, what happens? What's the problem? Need more information to help. That's why you're getting little response.

Can't go into a garage and say "My car is broken", then walk out. You'll come back to a still broken car.

Ok sorry about that, started this on the 14th and forgot i had asked :)

As at the start, i was asking if anybody has had any luck with the game on steam link so hoped it would flow from there, im obviously not alone with concerns.

All i get is a black screen. Eventually the menu pops up. Then select start game or whatever and then get the same long blank screen and never get into the game!

I heard some say you can just start the game on the pc then go to the client tv to play but sort of takes the point out of using the link.

Works spot on in every other game i have tried so was wondering if perhaps the popular, and almost required, dsfix may be causing a clash or something but im not sure

Hey!

Yea i was planning on uninstalling the whole game and reinstalling without it to see if it would atleast run! Wiĺ do that today! Would suck if so because the mod is essential

Yea man, that would be my suggestion, disable DSfix by simply removing the files (takes a few seconds), if it works, place them back but disable all but the resolution adjustment in the dsfix ini file, if it works, enable feature after feature until you find out what's causing it. Might take an hour or so. But you might find it's something silly and you can live without the extra feature.

Or, just to triple check, you're not running AA in game with dsfix right? That causes problems.

Yea will try that

Yep aa etc is off ingame, as i say it runs perfectly at my pc :( thanks will try the above next!

OHHHH, what about it thinking that Steam Link is a second monitor?

I've not used Steam Link, so have no idea how it works, but it could be the engine for Dark Souls thinks it's being displayed on a 'secondary' output and as a result, bugs out. Not sure. Just throwing ideas out to see if I can help mate.

I can see that being a possibility! Tbh im not too sure how it works i think it just mirrors the pc monitor rather than acting as a second one? Because you cany use the pc ehile the link is in use
