i have been messing around with this days but cant get it working and its driving me insane, why anyone would have there game use games for windows live is beyond me but whatever

all i want to do is play dark souls with my friends for that to happen i need an open nat type and something called upnp
my nat type is moderate and i have no idea what to do about it, looking for help on google just brings a lot of very vage guides that dont really help at all
and the upnp thing i made sure that its enabled on my PC and my router games for windows live says its available but not used

can anybody help me out with these issues?
thanks

In order to play Dark Souls with people you know you all need to install DSFix and then DSCFix, and you all need to be friends on Windows Live. Then you will see each others soul-signs before anyone elses :)

I've not had run into issues with any routers I've tried it with... have you installed the above things and still having issues?

Hope this helps!

To be fair, Dark Souls and Demon Souls before it were never designed with the intention of allowing friends to play together.

Also they used GFWL for a very good reason, because they are console developer and wanted an easy port to test the PC market.
