Dark souls remastered

Didn't see a thread for this amazing game.

I am abit late to the dark souls series but I am in love with this game.

It's tough at times no hand holding it kinda reminds me of playing games before the Internet blew up.

The main reason for getting into from software games was the Elder Ring trailer and also sekiro.

anyone thinking giving dark souls a chance but keep putting it off?
Give it a try but be ready to die a lot haaaa

I did give DS a chance after Bloodborne and Sekiro and it didn't click with me.

Bloodborne has vastly superior atmosphere, level design and lore while still offering a more fun combat experience overall and Sekiro's combat and movement is just a lot more satisfying for me.

I have DS III in my library with around 2h playtime and I doubt I'll come back to it but who knows. I guess it's just not for me.

Yeah, I was hoping for a PC release as there have been some rumours but no dice so far. It ran pretty poorly on PS4 but it wasn't so bad on the Pro. The game deserves a remaster with 60fps.

Yeah it might be something I would play with a playstation 5.

Is it challenging like dark souls?

Very much so. (Mostly because my reaction time and reflexes are terrbile) it is very rewarding though.

I think quite a few people consider it harder than DS overall. It may be down to the fact that it requires you to play differently and you don't have shields.

It's basically a faster paced DS using some different mechanics in a lovecraftian horror setting with great lore, level design and bosses. Ticks all the boxes for me

Oh, and The Old Hunters DLC is fantastic. Some of the best bosses in any game, IMO.

Probably my favourite game series of all time, and I'm currently suffering through Sekiro and loving that too.

I bought the Remastered version with the idea of going through with a different build but haven't got around to it yet. Trying to convince one of the kids to coop it with me

I hope the rumours of BB coming to PC are true. It seems FromSoft can do wrong! If it never materialises I might try PSNow and see if it's playable that way since I understand it is one the games streamable on that service.
