Dark Vidoes?

Hi just a quick question, every player on the family pc plays videos really darkly, if you understand what i mean, as in every video file played looks like its had contrast and bightness turned down to like %10, thought it might be (probably is) a codec problem so i put VLC on there and still dark on there :/ any ideas??

hehe, i asked me bro before i asked this to reinstall NVIDIA driver, and that fixed it lol, thought i found the overlay bit and undertand it now ty
