Dark visor law?

Posting here because i'll only trust the Overclockers community rather than any old stuff on Google.

So, i'm looking to buy a dark visor to go with my current helmet and just read on an Ebay listing "you all know the score with black visors - off road use only!". It may sound obvious but is it against the law to ride with a dark/black visor? Even during the day?

If the laws, the law then is there any other dark visor i can purchase that is legal?

Any suggestions on colors of visors would be fantastic!
