Fans of the first Darksiders are already familiar with Vigil’s fiction – the eternal war that rages between the forces of Heaven and Hell. With Darksiders II, Vigil looks to deliver a richer experience as players explore more dungeons, talk with a variety of NPCs, and experiment with a detailed loot system. The horseman War has been sidelined, so it’s up to his brother, Death, to travel through the world of the Abyss and attempt to restore humanity after its destruction during the Apocalypse.

Can't wait for this game as the first was excellent.
 
The first game was great.

However imo first Darksiders had two weak points:

1) Throughout the game there was a sense of isolation or cut off from anykind of meaningful social environment which itself wasn't great, as you explored the environment with War (the background environment should have been more lively)


2) The 'Destroyer' turned out to be such a disappointment. 'Straga' looked impressive and should have been the final boss.
 
My copy arrived today, completed 1 dungeon and it's definately an approvement on the 1st game.

The main character is more customisable, plenty of different weapons and armour with various stats. What's also nice is that the armour and weapons actually look different.

Combat feels more fluid, they've taken away block, but the dodge function is vastly improved, there's no real slow down when dodging, unlike the 1st game.

No real improvements with graphics, though the locations are nice and thankfully, you start off with your horse for faster exploring.
 
I'm getting my copy from my local games shop. Got £18 credit with them. Only problem is that i'm working 9-7 on Mon & Tues so I won't be able to get it til Wed :(
 
Got my copy yesterday and so far having real blast with the game. New RPG elements and combat system are just amazing and along with the music it just makes fantastic game. But main thing I'm loving is the whole art of the game, just epic.
 
Don't want to derail the thread by going off topic but if someone can help it would be great, has anybody here pre-ordered this online with GAME? My copy didn't arrive today and I seen another tweet from somebody else on the Gamedigital twitter page that their copy didn't arrive either, I'm wondering if something messed up somewhere along the line. I got my dispatch email on Thursday evening, just wonder if anybody else is in a similar situation -_-
 
No copy for me today :(. Was dispatched yesterday, royal mail special delivery I think, but was not in to receive it, so have to wait until tomorrow :(.

Game has been a bit slow for me. Not got Darksiders on order with them, but I had New super Mario brothers on order with them and that took longer than normal to arrive. It had a citipost dsa label on it, not sure if that has something to do with it.

That actually explains everything, thank you mate. They're using Citipost again =( They went through a patch about a year ago where they got nothing out to people on time and it's because they were using Citipost and then getting Royal Mail to finish the job off. Once they went back to having it all through Royal Mail things were fine, hopefully I'll have this tomorrow then.

Don't think I've ever had anything from them before. They are slow. Mario went out Wednesday I think, got it Monday. Ordered another 3ds game on Thursday from Shopto and that was with me Friday :).
 
Got this yesterday.
Really enjoying it.
Found myself a pair of awesome gauntlets that restore my health every time I get a critical hit. I'm virtually invincible at the moment!
