Recommended system specifications include:

Operating System: Windows 7
Processor: A Quad-Core device either from Intel or from AMD
RAM: 2 GB
Hard Drive: 20 GB of space free with 10 GB free after install
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 512 MB or the equivalent from AMD
An online Steam account

Source.

only high thing is qaudcore but thats recommended anyway.

Dualcore is fading fast.
2GB (not many have lower)
260gtx is very old now.

It's maybe a bit more honest. Dead Rising 2 came out for PC about 2 years ago and was awful on a C2D. No amount of overclocking made a difference, it wasn't till I went quad that I could play it with respectable FPS. It's requirements listed a dual core and it was a cross platform release.

Doesn't look high to me for "Recommended" specs at all - if anything I'd say 2GB RAM is low.

Min spec as follows:
Operating System: Windows XP or Windows Vista SP1 or Windows 7
Processor: 2.0 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor or the equivalent from AMD
RAM: 2 GB
Hard Drive: 20 GB of space free with 10 GB free after install
Video Card: NVIDIA 9800 GT 512 MB or the equivalent from AMD

So WinXP, 2ghz C2D, 9800GT - pretty basic stuff.

That is a lot of HDD space, with most games going digital download now (GW2, etc) I hope my internet speeds up soon :O

Since when have 'recommended specs' been accurate..

I never believe them, to me,

'minimum specs' = LOL, don't even bother wasting your money.

'recommended specs' = average IQ & inconsistent frame rate, 360/PS3 mode.

'ultra high' = It'll finally look like all those fancy trailers we hyped the game with.

Indeed.

Will be awful.

I pre-ordered from Game earlier because of their exclusive pre-order bonus, but I'll probably cancel and go for that Green Man Gaming deal seeing as a small piece of DLC isn't worth an extra £10.

Also, I didn't realise GMG shipped retail copies?
