Darkstar one Graphics prob

I bought darkstar one yesterday and installed it today, and ive got a problem already after a few mins of play (could be a few seconds) the graphics go totally messed up, here is a screenshot of what it looks like, anyone else had this problem?

the game runs fine here, alas very slowly, is anyone else getting sluggish performance ?

I am running 1800XT, x2 3800, 74gb raptor, gb of corsair.

I have the settings all maxed out, but the game doesnt seem like anything spectaculer graphics wise so i am wondering if its just something i am doing wrong ?

I have the exact same problem with an ATI X1900XT and 6.7 drivers

The problems the OP describes apparently only happens in dodgy copies of the games (according to the official forum anyway).

Is this game any good? Read the review on IGN and it seemed a lot like x3?

Nah, ive read the offical forum happens to ppl on the demo aswell, and i bought this.

im afraid i cant help you with your graphics problem... but what a fantastic game!!! went out and bought it today! I am a MAJOR FreeLancer nut you see so this is right up my street, its been ages since i had a freelancer styled game to play... last one was Aquanox and i got bored quickly.

Bought it.. It is a bundle of fun, but the repetitive nature of it is getting frustrating as are the graphics slow downs. It's not a particularily polished game and generally feels quite claustrophobic but it fills a space whilst I wait for Elite 4

Don't expect any depth from it, it is what it is - a space shooter. Space has never been this colourful and I'm not entirely sure I like it like that.

EDIT: try the Beta patch and see if that fixes it...
