Darn... General Protection Fault with Borderlands :-(

Played borderlands last night for a fair few hours, no issues. Before going to bed, I tried prime 95, and it crashed (blue screen). Now borderlands won't load the game, saying it can't find a file. Just running validation steam cache now.. but anything I can do?

Damn.. all steam files validated :-(

If I delete some files or something... will it redownload them? (If any are corrupted I mean.. not every file lol).

Funnily enough I'm getting the exact same error whenever I try to play. It might have something to do with that new update they rolled out last night.

Yup same here... was playing fine, closed it and went back to it an hour or so later and now it wont load with the same error.

Fix: Go to options on the main menu -> game options and turn stat tracking to off.

Had this problem and it was related to MSI After Burner. Do you have it running?

Yes... actually I do have afterburner running, but it was never an issue before.

Will try turning the stats off :-)

UPDATE: Turned off stat tracking. Works perfectly. Thanks guys :-)

Not sure what's changed but like you just recently started having issues. Glad it's sorted.
