I read about this a couple weeks ago. In the news story they made it sound like a serious assault. Then a couple days ago they (BBC) showed the video, and man... this went to court?! The guy got a suspended jail sentence? Very harsh.

then assaulted someone else.

so why surprised that it went to court? Suspended sentence is a little harsh maybe hes a repeat offender

The first time he went for the guy on the left, it was lucky it didn't connect, because he swung it pretty hard and fast. If it'd hit him it looks like it would have done him some damage. I wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of it.
