I'm in the market for a new bike, primarily for Dartmoor based shenanigans after riding it road for the past 5 yrs getting back into mountain bike.
I've been advised by our local that a full Sus is definitely preferred over hardtail ( personally like hardtails historically). But given the tor nature and stoney leaning that the moor has, they may have a point...
Then I start reading about how if lots of climbing... An xc style is better than trail or enduro.. them again I know how these things go when you start listening to every bike blog/ review where 90% of their comments wouldnt be noticed by most mere mortals but you end up thinking your previous choice will be a disaster because Geoff from bike expert reviewer says it's terrible for climbing....
Anyway I've been leaning towards snagging a bargin on the wiggle returns eBay which leads to nukeproofs 290s, Vitus escape/ mythique etc. Which apparently are more enduro style bikes, but I assume will be perfectly fine for me!?
