Dashboard Test???

I was trying to reset all the counters on the dashboard earlier (pressing both of the buttons on the rev counter and odometer as well as the BC button on the indicator stalk). I dont know what combination I pressed, but it came up on the display with "TEST". This is on the BMW. Anyone know what this does? Cheers.

you can then scroll through options as diagnostics. Cant remember the list off hand but there is some right interesting stuff. Did the needles swing all the way round and back again?

I dont think so, I just **** myself at the time cos I thought I might have messed something up
