Just seen this over at Hardocp:

"We received confirmation from Microsoft that the Xboxic information was indeed accurate and that an update was “imminent”. Unfortunately, that update was supposed to head to production today but a few minor issues pushed the target date back to Monday".

Excellent. Apparently one of the bugs is the PGR3 crash on some systems. Hopefully it will stop my mates. Or when I try to go back to dashboard on it.
Since getting my disc swapped it's not done it since by the way.

I expect it wont need any storage, it'll just use the flash memory in the console.

The dashboards didnt used to do half the stuff they do now though.

From the PSX I remember being able to browse memory card and play a music cd with a visualisation, not exactly much to go wrong was there!

I'm sorry but crash bandicoot on the psx had a bug whereby I couldn't get past a certain part of the game without it crashing, even when the discs were swapped the same thing happened.

Now try and tell me lazy programming didn't exist with the old consoles?

If i remember correctly its suppose to have some sort of webcam ability, a possilbe thing where it doesnt autoload games. Anyone else find that annoying? Also i think they are allowing you to download something and leave the menu so u dont have to sit and stare at a demo download for 30mins.
Autoplay is annoying, loaded geometry wars and put the pgr3 disc in thinking, oh it won't load im playing something, how wrong I was.

It's nothing to do with multithreading, multitasking yes...

The dashboard operates independantly, thats where the problem lies, that and the game not waiting till the sign in process if complete.

lol what a waste of time, sod all useful, not even a background downloading feature.
