I'm growing my face fungus, I've always had a beard but kept at around grade 2... It's now about grade 10. As the longest clipper attachment I have which is 9, would take a chunk off.

Luckily, my beard hair is fairly straight and easy to keep looking neat. However, recently, there has been a few straggling hairs making it look a little messy. I was wondering if anyone has tried beard waxes before?

Something to keep it looking a little healthy and neat. I don't know when I will stop growing it, it's taken me about a month (maybe 6 weeks) from grade 2 to get it to this level. So I'm thinking I'll keep growing it for a good 6 or so months more.

I might have one from last week... Not very flattering but you get the idea.

First one is a week old, watching a scary film, one before that, 2 weeks ago right after getting my hair cut.

NOTE, I was not driving, I was in a car park just about to leave.

It's not trolling to have an opinion, you make like beards I think they look horrible which I'm quite entitled to say.

Yep, which you've stated, and you're right, it's your opinion. But now swiftly move on to your next troll.

kthxbye <3

Old fashioned ! you ought to hear what the women I work with say about beards which funnily enough they were talking about last week.

They're all young or youngish and not one single one from 22 said they liked them, if somebody thinks they're cool that's fine but telling me I'm a troll because I hate them is not on.

Still waffling on? Lol

go to boots/poundland and buy argon oil, use small amount rub into beard and thank me later

silky smooth and holds its shape

that's what all these beard oils are, I got 50ml for a pound.

What's the difference between oil and balm?

Well i actually look more handsome with my beard, do you want me to rub my face against yours :D

Haha, he's apparently a know it all troll.

This is one of my favored posts from him:

I have always been of the opinion that any person who kills animals for a living cannot possibly be a person who can have feelings for an animal.

You cannot kill animals all day then go home and love your dog.

I think they have a mental problem as virtually every well known killer has a history of abusing animals at first, in fact it's highly unusual for a serial killer not to have a history of animal abuse.

Well this escalated quickly!

I would literally give my left nipple to be able to grow anything as magnificent as that beard.
Even left for a week mine still looks like something that would live on a pre pubescent alopecia sufferer.

I don't know if this is a placebo or not, but my father taught me to wet shave from a very young age... I think it has something to do with that.

But thanks chap :D

Nice thread, I have a beard but its really bristly and would like to know how to keep it soft!
Do the oils and balms really work? Just tried to condition it so far and that feels great...for about 10 mins, then back to the bristle!

I'm going to grab some stuff on the way home. As it stands at the moment, I shave my neck (my beard grows all the way down my neck as well, horrible look. If I don't shave that, it really does look messy and unkept.

I'll update here after a week of using :)

Until then, back to winding John40 up.

Nice beard!

I'll take some pics today to compare to a weeks growth on my neck, I wet shaved my neck on Saturday evening.

As for oils and balms. I'll keep an updated spreadsheet. Also! This is a question I shout at my self for, I have ginger in my beard, a lot. I'm Scottish at heart I guess so that's where it's from. I have toyed with the notion of actually dieing my beard dark brown/black to get a uniform look... But then I don't... Because why would you die your beard.

What has happened to this thread! Haha.

Well, I made the choice to stick to my beard, I've got an interview this afternoon and I tried to neaten it up as best as possible.

Still not had time to go and buy brushies or stuffs. But took this yesterday for giggles.

Need a haircut!

*Yes, I blanked out my place of work*

Out of interest are what the reasons of people in this thread for growing a beard? Is it because you find it manly? as a fashion thing? cant be bothered to groom? religious?

I don't like the look of me without a beard, I have a small pea head and it looks silly without any form of stubble, stubble allows definition to my jaw line.

Also, the beard part is purely a fun thing. Not aesthetic or purposeful, it's just fun growing a giant beard.

Mines getting a bit long now... Actually having to brush it after every shower to keep it looking 'neat'.
