Data Centre Surveying Software

Surveying in the physical sense? What software is out there to quickly draw up the inside of data halls, doors, rack positions, containment aisles, PDUs etc etc?

Aside from a measuring tape and sketchup/cad software?
Anything in the industry as a standard?

I used to use visio for my project reviews, I seem to remember APC have a tool for it too but I preferred visio because you can easily paste any random clip art from any source.

We use Visio too. Plenty of stencils of equipment so you can accurately draw the equipment in the racks..

I think Visio pro or enterprise will generate it for you.

Visio noob alert, 'generate' it for me?

I'm interested in a top down floorplan style initially, I'm a services guy currently I don't need detailed rack by rack info, but to be able to add some detail on that later is good.

I'm in at the deep end today
