Win 7 PC works OK but annoyingly my 2 data drives are marked as "Active".

System boots properly and boots off the SSD marked as Boot drive, Active, etc.."

Can I just set these drives as "inactive? Found this on web:

1. Open the Command Prompt by typing cmd in the Run box.
2. Now type diskpart which will open a new window.
3. Type list disk, this will lists all the disks connected
4. Now type select disk # (same as listed in the window), to select the disk where the partition is marked active.
5. Type list partition, this will display the entire partition list.
6. Now you need to type select partition # (same as listed) to select the partition to mark it as inactive.
7. Now just type inactive.

Thanks, Mel (or will it **** my set up!)

I know that now! I did when I reinstalled Win 7 on a bigger SSD but didn't when I originally installed Win 7 on a 128GB SSD and left the 2 offending drives in!
So it's a bit of a "legacy" issue.
