data recover from SCSI hdd

Hi there,

A friend has a SCSI hdd that he needs to recover some data from...I have recovered data from IDE and SATA hdd but never SCSI hdd's...

How do I go about doing this....below is the problem he is experiencing...

"The hard drive is SCSI, NTFS format. I need to recover MySQL files. I could see the drive a week ago through a live linux cd, now I don't see the partitions, only gparted can see it as a hard disk with no partitions, can you help?"

How do I resolve this issue and recover the data...

Any help would be most appreciated...
