Data recovery from a non-recognised card

I've got a 64Gb micro SD card here which appears to be properly dead - not recognised in two laptops and a tablet. I've tried different SD adapters and card readers but it looks like the card is properly dead.

Given that it has stuff from my girlfriend's grand canyon trip on it we're clearly keen to try whatever we can. So are there any options here or is it toast?
 
If it's just corrupted, i.e. the controller itself isn't dead then yes there's options.

Google for "SD card recovery", there's lots of software out there, some free. and most of the commercial utilities have free trials so you can see what's recoverable before you buy.
