Hi guys I got a virus last night which has deleted everything in the users folder all my documents and pictures and music, does anyone know any free software that I can use to get them back?? I plugged the hard drive into another pc and the anti virus went mad so I let it do a scan and remove the virus, any help much appreciated

probably hidden not deleted - turn on show hidden files
or possibly your profile got corrupt and windows created a temp one for oyu...
never seen a virus delete docs and i have seen probably 400 machines with virus' over the last 4 years...
however did see on encrypt them last week!

I disabled system restore
When I googled my problem a lot of people said they might be hidden, how do I get them back? I tryed Recuva it's good but didn't find anything does that mean they're hidden? Cheers
fyi system restore does NOT touch my docs, its system files only so would nto have ever helped get any data back
