ok... i need some help.
I have an old 37gb HD that i had years ago with all pics and clips on, it was an NTFS drive with an Active OS.
I recently found the drive... before i put her in the draw of doom i deleted all the pics etc as i backed them up (well so i thought) i need to restore them now.
I have used (registerd versions) GetDataBack, SmartMedia, R-Studio and ZAR all of which dont work, GDB finds the files but will not restore any .JPG files, it will pick up the Name, size, description and res, but no contents.

Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks....

Try Nero, when i back files up and need to restore them i use Nero, it works fine.

what feature of nero works with this?
And what version mate...
just to confirm... you are talking about files on a HDD.

worked for a friend of mine recently :)

Ditto bit odd Getdataback didnt work, remember after the scan is done its best to type in *.jpg and then copy all the pics if finds to an external hdd or another partition of the hdd.

If not then Recoverymy files, choose when scanning carefully, uncheck all the boxes apart from jpg type files and then scan.... that will speed it up 10x faster by just choose jpg.

If all else fails try Easy recovery pro.

But the 1st 2 should have good success rate :p
