Whats the best data recovery Software.

Not bothered about the price, just after the best possbile software used by professionals.

I don't know about the best money can buy. I imagine the CIA/FBI/Mi5 have got some pretty amazing data recovery tools.

I have used getdataback in the past with varying degree's of success. Depends on the state of the HDD to be honest.

ontrack are good data recovery company, pricey though.

I'm almost certain professional companies use a combination of specialised software & hardware to recover data. The last conversation I had with one such company about 2 years ago certainly suggested they had a lot of specialised hardware for different recovery tasks.

Cost the company I work for £7.5k to get their stuff back too :rolleyes:

I use a program at work called R-Studio

has a 100% success rate for me ( unless HDD has a mechanical fault )

Are there any free data recovery programs out there?
