A while back I had partition manager mess up my mbr (and then I made things a whole lot worse by formatting the wrong partition...) and I asked here for help. Someone pointed me towards a program named something like 'getdataback' or getbackdata', which was great.
Now I have a friend that installed windows over their data partition (read masters thesis), and I no longer have the handy program.
I found something with a similar name to what I recall, but it is a windows program (we tried it of course, but it didnt work well enough
).
The one that worked for me was a dos/linux command line program. Anyone know where I could get a hold of this? It might just save the day...
