Hello,
My OH has just sold her MBA and was going through the process of wiping the hard drive before posting it off only to remember that she'd left some vital documents and photos on it.
The laptop I believe has been 'wiped' (when you turn it on it begins to download OSX from the internet).
Normally I would grab the hard drive out of a laptop / PC, slave it into another PC and run some decent data recovery software (R Studio or similar). Obviously this isn't an option as the MBA hard drive is fixed. She has no TM backups or any other way of getting the data back.
What are my options? I have another MBA so can use that to create bootable bits and pieces like a USB or DVD.
Can I run recovery software from my MBA and 'mount' her MBA hard drive via a cable or something?
