My new PS4 Pro arrived thi morning, woohoo. So now time to do some data transferring from old to new.
I'd like to turn everything around as quickly as possible - not quite straight forward as the HD in my current PS4 needs moving to the Pro.
My plan was to backup everything except applications to an external HD and then retrieve that onto the Pro (once the HD has been taken from old PS4, formatted in the Pro and had a basic OS install completed).
I am right in thinking that this method would result in all captures, all saved game information and my user profiles being copied accross, but leave me with the requirement to download all of my applications & games again?
My thinking being this will greatly minimise the amount of data that needs to be backed-up and subsequently retrieved. Once the Pro is up and running I can get the game I want to play all installed and then the rest can download "whenever" they like in the background.
Cheers.
