I'm doing a friend a favour by setting up a database for him, unfortunately he has a Mac and although i know how to use one (to a degree) my knowledge of software on them is quite limited.
I have acquired a copy of appleworks which i understand has a database application within it but am wondering if it's suitable or if there is a better free alternative. The database itself is probably only going to have 3 - 4 linked tables with up to a thousand records in. I'd like to create a couple of input forms and a couple of queries for it. It's only going to be accessed by him on the same machine. Ease of use takes precedence i would think as i don't need any advanced features.
As a bonus it would be nice if there was one where i could create / configure the database on a PC and just install the app on his laptop and copy the database files over.
Any suggestions?
