Datacentre Temprature

Hi, one of co-located DC temp has (in my mind gone really hot in the last 24 hours) @ 33 deg c

comparing to other DC's we use, their temp is around 27 deg c

has anybody else got the temp they expect in a DC enviroment

I saw an article recently that debated the merits of raising the temp from 22c to 27c so I would think that 33 was too warm?

I'd suspect they'd had an issue if it was at 33c or some maintenance was being done.

Probably worth raising a ticket with them to find out!

yeh i have done, thou due to a strange setup, we have a rack in a DC, which is provided by a third party. so the DC responding is a slow process

Our office DC is 22c.

Our local KCOM data center (around ~200 racks) is no way anywhere near 33c, I haven't seen a gauge in there but I visited yesterday and I would definitely say < 22, I needed a jumper.

Don't really care what our DC ambient temperature is, so long as the units are working as it's all hot aisle contained with the AC units pushing a wall of cooled air over the front of the racks. So it's server intake temp we monitor......
