Anyone seen any reviews? My headphones knackered last night and thought I might give this one a whirl. I will be ringing MS to see if they will send me a replacement headset, but wanted something cheap in the mean time.

Was thinking of getting one of these but decided to go for the halo limited edition one, meant for the original xbox but works perfectly fine with my 360 and does the job.

Im waiting for the M$ wireless one to come out then ill get that.
 
Well Ive ordered one anyway as like I say mine fubared last night. Will report back when it arrives.

Should be able to persuade MS to send me a new one anyway, so Im hoping its only temporary. I do want the wireless one when it comes out, so if they dont send me a free standard one Ill hold out till a wireless one is out.
 
Turned up yesterday, seems like a decent bit of kit for the money. Was slightly unsure if it would have a volume and mute, but it actually comes with the same connector that the official headset uses, with a single jack going into it which means any headset can be plugged into it.

because the cable from the controller to the headset gets on my nerves, and that way i dont have to walk with the controller to the kitchen or toilet when im singing to people :D

LOL that'sthe best thing about internet gaming chat, I've always done it since the good old days; Singing to people when they are trying to get a good sniping aim on me in a game or when they are about to overtake me in a car game and I start humming the old bbc formula 1 tune.
 
Im the same, if I need to pop into the kitchen I have to take the controller with me, and move it about as I make a drink or something. Wireless headset will be great when its out.

Just got off the phone with MS, and a new headset is now en-route. They do seem to have great customer service whenever I have had an issue. Even if they did need to test my Xbox Live connection before they would confirm that it was actually the headset. Nevermind the fact that it was working for 6 months, and other headsets work fine!

Done exactly the same thing on monday. My headset started to fall apart so I gave them a quick ring. As you said, they made me test my connection and all sorts but in the end the guy just agreed to send me another one. Turned up this morning!

Greeat customer service. :cool:
