Waiting: How long before you get an email back do you call shenanigans?

1 week

2 weeks?

a month?!

e.g. previous correspondence it has been 2 days max. Then all of a sudden its 5 days. No real reason but shes very sorry.

on end of day 5 with no email back i usually strike them off the list (ie send email saying cheerio). I think its an amazing lack of courtesy and manners.

If you are talking to someone in person or on msn and they suddenly bog off (leave) and return 5 days later saying "ohh sorry bout" that with no explanation would you put up with it?

And this is a general comment but am i the only one annoyed at the lack of manners that "technology" seems to imbue people with. They would not dare be so rude in person but over email or msn etc they dont give a **** ?

/care for what? technology and how it affects the way people interact? or what? Could you be a bit more lucid?

if its a /care to the thread then arent you just trolling?

You are taking it too seriously. At the email stage it really doesn't matter. People have lives to lead.

If you want to chat over email then have several on the go at the same time. Don't sit and wait for one person to write back to you.

The key is to get them on the phone as soon as possible. It's a whole different ball game.

good advice, cheers. :)

where's my reply emails

whoops!! :o should i not have done that? :D

/kidding!

i'm not -that- neurotic :D but you're right it doesnt come across good..and ive had my fair share of bunny boilers so fair dos.

i'm wondering - ( i do that a lot :D) do you find that kind of behaviour crossing over into Real Life? I mean not being surprised at behaviour considered rude if done in person but regarded as normal if its online/email/msn etc.

What am i blathering about?

You know how there is a line you dont cross? Once you cross that line on a daily basis you find you have subconsciously moved the line further up. i.e. your standards change.

i.e. what was once considered heresy/blasphemy/heinous/just wrong/rude etc is now considered Normal.

basically i was interested if some of you guys had a sortoff "system" for sorting the wheat from the chaff.. (to use a biblical metaphor)

she has replied. Supposed to be going out soonish. Though i might cancel and reschedule - but that would be petty wouldnt it? :o

Maybe its a control thing? If i suggest something she says no and suggests her idea so i say 'no cant do' and offer MY solution. So its like im the one in control...

hrmm yeah i think its a control/ego thing... by me. cheers for the help...

Who needs therapy you guys are great! :D
