My daughter has my old D70, which seems to be throwing up memory card access errors quite often now.... So perhaps time to give her an upgrade, (she's 21 this year 
It has the 18-70 original kit lens which seems quite good, but I have the thought it focuses using the body with the little drive shaft ?
So what replacement body would be good..... Used D90 ? Or is the D5100 an option ? She also has a 70-300 Sigma Apo, which I need to check how that works........ Budget is limited, but she is pretty good, shows me up some times...
So worth getting something reasonable.
