I would have thought ATI shot them selves in the foot by partnering with AMD. Because now surely Nvida and Intel are closer and well, intel and nvida are clearly winning on both the cpu and gfxs.

At the moment, that dosent mean they will for the next billion years. :p

Its not just as simple as AMD saying oh lets buy ATI.

AMD would have some justifiable, knowledgeable reason for buying ATI. So dont count them out yet.
