Dawn Of War 2 Issues...

Hey all,

Just wanted to know if anyone could help me out on this, I have to run the game on Minimum settings and still only get about 22FPS Average, if I run it on Medium I get 5FPS Average, now the Recommended specs state:

AMD X2 4400+
2GB Ram
256MB Graphics 7800GT/ X1900 or above

My PC Specs are:

AMD X2 4800+
2GB Ram
ATI X1900XTX 512MB

So why can I only run this on minimum settings, when I should be able to run it quite well?

Make sure the game is patched to its latest version. 1.5

Make sure your graphics drivers are all up to date. Do you have problems with any other games?

Also if I were you I would consider upgrading the RAM to about 4GB. Even with XP or another 32 bit OS it;s still a good idea. OS and other apps take up the needed RAM usage.

Short answer: Should have gone Intel/Nvidia :P
 
Can run all other games fine, Left 4 Dead maxed out, Bioshock etc, I have the latest patches due to it being on Steam, will try updating my graphics again and see if that helps.

Also at the short answer, back when I got my PC intel were still on P4, ram was still PC3200 and ATI were the best graphics (Which if I were to upgrade I would still go for the 4850/70 range) Sadly I can't really afford an upgrade right now.
