Behind you... Naked!
Should hopefully be a simple way, but I was wondering if I can perhaps get the Dawn Of War Series of games on Linux?

I once came across a fairly poor how to on teh original and I followed it and sure enough I had some success, but Im kind of hoping things have progressed a little since then.

Anyone?

wine.
Install dx9.
install games.
done :)

I played these games a lot on linux and have had no problems with either installation or playability.

I have not been having the best of luck with DirectX in Linux

I also do nto have Windows installed either...

I have 2 HDs.

80GB
72GB=/ + 4GB Swap

250GB = /home

Anything specific I need to know or do?

Just use winetricks to install dx9 (this also registers the native libraries for you as well, which is handy). Once that's done, you should be good to go. I have an nVidia card and have tried LOTS of the drivers and they're all pretty good (although my rig doesn't get on well with the 190.x series for some reason).

I've happily run DoW, Winter Assault, Soulstorm and Dark Crusade with almost no issues. DC had some problems getting past the intro video with some versions of wine and had problems with sound on other versions, so it's really useful to use wineprefixes (things like PlayOnLinux or Cedega are really useful for this, although the latter you need to pay for).
