Got it today, and discovered I'd deleted my old Dow 2 saves somewhere along the line. I suppose not importing a save doesn't make any real difference, it's just one of those little niggles.

I only completed it again (that's twice on "Primarch") recently too.

Mr. Dreyfus is rather annoyed at the 'mo.

Just get it from Amazon or Play. Both are selling it for around £17. Steam is NEVER the cheapest place to get something from now unless it's on offer.

iv read that this game need a large pagefile just to run. can someone who has this game confirm that? i have a 128mb pagefile set, i believe this game wants over 1.5gb of paging file.

Eugh, just got this but don't have my previous DOW2 saves. So they just give you level 18 squads with random stats AKA stats I don't want. I can't be bothered with it now :/

I installed this today, am not impressed tbh. Its not as good as the first DOW II. I couldn't get the exclusive Wargear as well, as Windows Live, keeps buggering up.

Boo not fair, the played a few skirmish matches in vanilla DOW2 with a friend last night ( both never really played DOW1 or 2 just got them with the THQ pack) and the AI gets to use chaos, and kicked our arses with it.

Having really enjoyed the last one (and just found my saves!), is this worth getting? Will probably wait til it comes down in price.

As far as single player goes I much prefer Dawn of War 2 to the original Dawn of War. I got much more involved and much prefered the storyline, loved the leveling and the collecting of wargear.

OK, I've been battering my way through the SP on this, and it's been quite taxing. Nice to get loads of new kit, and the corruption elements put a bit of spin on things (can lead to a slightly different ending??).
But damn, on the last mission there's a big boss who has a zillion hit points - took me hours to beat the bugger - then the game crashed!!!!!

Exactly what happened to me

I had beaten his health right down then he randomly regained the whole lot, finally finished him off only for the game to ctd

Annoying is putting it lightly
