Anyone in here decent at this? I've read about a technique called "dancing your units" on the web, but I can't quite seem to pull it off properly. My problem is the unit I'm trying to "dance" won't disengage unless I put it on cease fire stance, and then won't re-engage unless I put it on assault stance even when I click on an enemy unit! Is it really possible to keep an eye on every unit and building on the map if you have to babysit your units like this constantly?

The tactics article I read suggested using melee units to dance though, which seems to be a bit counter-intuitive: when they get within firing range of the enemy they start shooting at them, and I start pulling them back in order to draw the enemy within range of my ranged units, but instead of following the computer-controlled units just give up and go back. I'm guessing this is because, if I'm using a melee unit, I'm not actually inflicting any damage by "dancing" them, as they need to actually engage in order to kill anything, so perhaps the computer doesn't see them as that much of a threat? Or have I got completely the wrong idea about this?
