Howdy all,

Just wanted to know peoples thoughts on Dawnguard for Skyrim. I have about 140hours on Skyrim right now and although I am still finding things to do I was wondering if Dawnguard is worth it?

I know what you 'get' from the expansion by reading on Steam but how are the new weapons and armors? Are the quests good and worth it? Stuff like that really.

Thanks

Christmas sale on steam in little over a month - I'd wait for that, no doubt it's going to be at least 30% off.

I know its probably going to be but I kind of want to purchase it now as I am at the point in my current game where I think I would enjoy something different.

I bought it recently and it was well worth it.

Can you expand this?

I finished it recently too and I found it worth the money.

Vampire and Werewolf changes are good and I liked the new perks system. Vampire Lord is a bit messy I found but the idea is good. The storyline I really liked although the Vampire line is like the developers had just watched Underworld the night before.

You have some replayability too as the storyline is two sided like the core games Stormcloak vs. Empire line. Some of the side quests are good, and the Aetherium Forge one is quite long. Crossbows are pretty cool too and a nice change from bows.

All in all, I'd say I got about 30 hours out of it so far, which is hard to grumble at for the £10.50 I got it for (GMG); plus I still haven't done the Dawnguard side of the story on another character and I'm still finishing up the Aetherium Forge line. Probably more like 45 hours if you did both sides.
