Day Insure upped their minimum age restrictions?

I was always under the assumption that it was 21 and over that they insured, however they must have changed it at some point, as the minimum age is now 23?

Just wondering if/when it has changed, as i took out a policy with them at the tail end of last year, and i'm 22.

I'm guessing they're cracking down for some reason :confused:

I would guess that if they're cracking down it will be because 22 years olds are crashing too many cars...

They've upped their price a lot too. I don't bother with them now unless I'm really desperate.

Who do you use now? Or do you use DOC cover?

I'm not currently using anyone.

My mum wanted to pay for me to have Day Cover to drive her new car home as she didn't really want to potentially get flustered in a car she was unfamiliar with. We took her partner with us and she drove the car home with him in the passenger seat instead

It's very rare that i ever need to use Temp Cover, but i'm 23 in July anyway, so no biggie

They've also changed the insurance grouping guidelines!

Friend is going to look at an ST24 tomorrow and had the intentions of buying there and then if it was good, ran a quote with Day Insure and they wouldn't provide a quote because the car was Group 16 or over!
