Day of Defeat Source $9.99 worth it?

Just seen this on steam, the closest I thing I played was probably COD2 or Enemy Territory, both of which I enjoyed a lot.

Is it anywhere close to COD2 or ET or is it a lot more realistic?

It's just CSS, But worse, and around WW2 times. it's way too fast for anything and it's not even similar to the cod series or the et series.

Get Red Orchestra, Its a much better game

I do like DoD though, i just prefere RO more

Remember trying this out for free a while back (years i think) and thinking it was pretty fun. Pretty tempting at such a low price

I spent countless hours on DoD Source, absolutely loved it, and it made my brother and 2 friends buy it too. Its too damn fun

Its a WW2 action game, and thats how it plays, fast paced and explosive

DOD is awesome... 'nuff said!

Its fun, fast paced and 5 second(ish) wait for respawning. Loads of servers... try a DOD_Avalanche only server as that map is awesome!

I have Red Orchestra aswell but theres only about 12 decent servers... so if your looking for something you can pick up in 5 - 10 minutes then buy DOD! If you want something strategic, realistic yet difficult get RO.

Can't go wrong for a fiver. I haven't played it recently but I remember it still being good fun a few months ago.

DOD:source is a great game, but its on the way down due to COD4, used to be clanned and in the ED ladder for DOD:s great game, lots of fun and many many servers, just missed the peak of it though

$9.99? I swear you can buy a pack for a little more which is much more value for money.

It's a great game though, lots of fun.

its a must buy, its definitely the most frantic of wwII shooters money can buy and for £5 it would be a crime not to purchase .. 9/10 for me

the game takes a while to get used to, its often a 'who shoots first wins' but it really keeps you on your toes and makes for a manic bloodfest

Yea it's great fun......Especially if you pick up one of the 'gungame' servers for some hardcore rapid fragging
